Book Translations
I have already written a restaurant guide myself and am currently working on a particular cookbook. From specialist books to children’s and young adult literature, I translate your books with authenticity, cultural awareness, and literary sensitivity.

Transcription & Subtitling
As a film expert (and film maker), I not only transcribe your audio-visual documents into written form, when translating dialogue scripts and subtitling (including spotting, CPL and CPS) I also get to the heart of the matter with a minimum of words and perfectly timed, conveying all the emotions.

Transcreation & Localization
With a high level of intercultural competence, I translate all texts that create value to your brand and adapt them for the German market – from apps to customer magazines, from press releases to websites.

About
My name is Valeria Lombardi (née Zichaeus) – my native languages are German and Spanish, and I have a master degree in Film & TV studies as well as Spanish Literature from Freie Universität Berlin. Since 2005 I have successfully completed numerous editorial projects and creative translations, provided localization and cultural consultation, reviewed countless texts and created lots of subtitles.

I worked for film productions and streaming services as well as for translation and advertising agencies on various clients and brands.

In recent years, I have mainly worked in the areas of fashion, travel & tourism, food & sustainability, and subtitling.

I’m currently living in Germany.
